Whoa baby! It’s December! The last month of 2015. Can you believe it? I can’t…I look forward to the holidays all year long and when they get here all I can think is: where did the time go?
Either way, December has to be the best month (tied with January for my birthday of course) and I’m fully in the Christmas spirit. The tree is up, the house smells like cinnamon, I’m drinking hot apple cider and watching Hallmark movies like its my job. I’ve already watched Candace Cameron Bure fall in love three times while it snows romantically outside! I’d say I’m doing pretty well at Decembering so far 🙂
Before I continue on with December, let’s check in on how I did with my November goals.
Most importantly, Give Thanks Everyday. This was easy because my heart was so full making great memories and spending time with amazing people!
Get some exercise at least 3 times a week and once on the weekends. Big fat FAIL. I got sick the first week of November and wasn’t up for exercise and it was all down hill from there. Why is it so hard to work out around the holidays? I just want to eat pie.
Plan for Thanksgiving. Success! We were prepared and hosted Thanksgiving without any major disasters.
Finish my Fall Bucket List. All accomplished except for the banana bread. I’d call that a win.
Get at least half of my Christmas shopping done. Not quite. Looks like I’ll be my usual crazy last minute Christmas shopping self.
Teach Scotch how to be less annoying. This actually happened! We discovered some ways to keep Scotch quieter in the mornings, it seems allowing him to sleep in our bed works like a charm…Scotch 1, Us 0.
Be Crafty. Check! With the help of my aunt, we made the perfect curtains for my kitchen and living room.
Read at least two books. Failed this one too 🙁 Which also means I’m falling behind on the Winter Book Challenge. I read a ton in October but November was crazy busy…hopefully with extra time off from work and not hosting anything this month, I can do better!
5/8 goals accomplished. Not bad!
Now for what I want to accomplish in December, I’m going to go easy on myself because it is Christmas-time, after all.
- Create a budget for 2016
- Volunteer at least twice
- Exercise: Complete Yoga with Adrienne’s 30 Days of Yoga Challenge to get me back on track
- Make my traditional Christmas goodies: Peppermint Bark & Muddy Buddies
- Force Jeff to wear matching Xmas Jammies with me while we watch Christmas movies
- Read at least 3 books for the Semi Charmed Winter Book Challenge
