Memorial Day Weekending
This weekend was THE BEST. 3-day weekends should occur at least once a month. I was a little sluggish today at work though trying to recover from all the fun and sun 🙂 But I wasn’t the only one so it’s okay!
Friday night the pups had a play date! I went out to dinner and drinks with friends at World of Beer and we sat outside so the fur babies could join. One of my friends just got a puppy so they made a new friend too. I had this amazing Pink Lemonade cider while we there – sooo tasty. Afterwards, we hung around for the movie in the park at Lake Eola. It was cool but there were a lot of people and it wasn’t the best movie (Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them) to watch in a setting like that, way too much paying attention required!
Saturday morning, I treated my self to some breakfast at my favorite coffee shop, and then did a little shopping. I took FULL advantage of the Memorial Day Weekend sale at Old Navy – the prices were amazing! I ended my little excursion with a treat from Gigi’s Cupcakes…a gluten free cupcake for me and brought home a cookie dough cupcake for Jeff!
That night my mom had a wine glass painting party. It was so much fun! We all sat around talking and painting a ton of glasses. And drinking
a little a lot of wine. I made three glasses for the girls and I for our pool day Monday.
Sunday I tried to spend most of the day being productive at home, so I had something to show for the weekend. Jeff and I went out to dinner to celebrate our six year dating anniversary at Santiago’s Bodega. The food there is beyond incredible! Afterwards we stopped by a neighborhood pub for some pool and darts. It was a perfect night and so nice to spend time together since he was stuck working all the other time this weekend.
Monday was a great pool day with the girls complete with mimosas and champagne popsicles. I got a ton of sun (maybe a little too much) and I was exhausted afterwards but totally worth it!
It was a perfect Summer kickoff! How was your weekend?
